• December 2nd 2011 The 100th inhabitant has joined the EMFText Syntax Zoo.

• November 28th 2011 The latest Eclipse Magazin (1.2012) contains an article about using EMFText DSLs at runtime.

• July 25th 2011 EMFText 1.4.0 is available from our update site. This release is focused on support for executable DSLs. For details about which bugs have been fixed, please consult the Release Notes. The New and Noteworthy pages give an overview of the new features.

• July 9th 2011 EMFText (plus eJava, TextEcore, DOT, Refactory, FeatureMapper, JastEMF) won the GTTSE Hackathon. The reward is 500€ from Google.

• May 10th 2011 An interview with the EMFText development team is available from jaxenter.com.

• February 3rd 2011 We have set up a continuous build server that creates a fresh update site whenever a change is committed to the SVN repository. Now, you can install these builds from http://www.emftext.org/update_trunk. No more waiting for the next release!

• October 7th 2010 Our paper about Refactory, the EMFText-based tool for model refactorings, has won the Springer Best Paper Award at the MODELS 2010 conference.

• June 23rd 2010 As of today Eclipse Helios is available. Instead of using the Update Manager, you can now install EMFText with the Eclipse Marketplace Client. Simply enter 'EMFText' in the search field and click 'Install' right beside the description of EMFText.

• June 17th 2010 A tutorial on EMFText and JaMoPP will be held at this years MODELS conference in Oslo (on October 5th 2010). See the conference website for more details.

• June 1st 2010 eJava (a language build with EMFText) and Refactory (the EMFText Refactoring SDK) will be presented at the Eclipse DemoCamp Helios on June 8th at the Faculty of Computer Science

• April 16th 2010 EMFText won the first price in a beauty contest at Dagstuhl Seminar 10152 on Relationships, Objects, Roles, and Queries in Modern Programming Languages. The winning solution can be found in our syntax zoo: Theater DSL

• April 13th 2010 EMFText will be presented next Friday (April 23rd) at the Department of Computer Science as part of Output Tag 2010. There will both be a talk (at 15:30 in Room E007) and a stand where we build DSLs for you.

• March 19th 2010 A video from the EMFText talk at the CeBIT Open Source Forum is available online (in german).

• July 20th 2009 EMFText 1.1.2 is available from our update site. This is a maintanance release that fixes a problem caused by one of the Teneo Plug-ins in the Eclipse Galileo Modeling Bundle. We strongly recommed to update.

• July 16th 2009 One of the Teneo Plug-ins in the Eclipse Galileo Modeling Bundle is wrongly bundled (classes are missing). As a result, EMFText 1.1.1 does not work with this Bundle. A fix is currently available from the SVN and will be available from the Update Site by July 20th.

• June 4th 2009 The syntax for KM3 (Kernel Meta Meta Model) is available from our update site.

• June 4th 2009 EMFText 1.1.1 is available from our update site. This is a maintanance release that fixes a problem in the HUTN syntax generator. We strongly recommed to update.

• May 29th 2009 EMFText 1.1.0 is available from our update site. This release comes with new features and many new example languages. Among them is Java 5 together will a full metamodel of the language and a complete syntax specification. Please regenerate the text resource plug-ins for your languages after updating to version 1.1.0.

• May 13th 2009 EMFText will be presented on June 23rd at the Eclipse Galileo DemoCamp in Leipzig

• May 7th 2009 EMFText was accepted for presentation at the tools track of the European Conference on Model-Driven Architecture Foundations and Applications 2009 in Twente (Netherlands).

• April 24th 2009 EMFText was presented at the Department of Computer Science as part of Output Tag 2009. People could insert coins and the DSL-O-MAT (which was Jendrik using EMFText) built a DSL for them. We have built 5 Languages in one afternoon and received 1,56 symbolic euros.

• March 17th 2009 EMFText 1.0.1 is available from our update site. This is a maintanance release that fixes some problems caused by invalid generator models. We strongly recommed to update.
